Bryan Husted

Professor & Program Director, Erivan K. Haub Chair in Business & Sustainability, Schulich School of Business

Bryan W. Husted currently holds the Erivan K. Haub Chair in Business and Sustainability at the Schulich School of Business of York University. He received a Ph.D. in business and public policy from the University of California at Berkeley. His current research focuses on corporate social and environmental performance. His work has appeared in such journals as Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Studies, Journal of Environment and Development, Human Ecology Review, Management International Review, Long Range Planning, Business & Society, Journal of Business Ethics, Growth & Change, and the Journal of Environment & Development. His book, Corporate Social Strategy: Stakeholder Engagement and Competitive Advantage, was published by Cambridge University Press. He is an active member of the Academy of Management, International Association for Business and Society, the Society for Business Ethics, and the European Business Ethics Network. He is also a member of numerous editorial boards of both scientific and practitioner journals. He has served as track chair for the Social and Environmental Management track of ANPAD, the Brazilian Academy of Management, Business and Administrative Sciences. He is past Division Chair of the Social Issues in Management division of the Academy of Management and is a past president and fellow of the International Association for Business and Society. He has wide international experience having taught in Mexico, Spain, Brazil, and Bolivia. He is also a national researcher (level II) of the National Research System (SNI) of Mexico.
